So this is how it feels
Wasn't cast in a mainstage for the semester. Been a while since I've been here. Disappointed, sure, but I understand why. The direction they went. If I was not going to get it, this was the best way for me to not get it. The show is going to be great. Good fun. Callbacks were some of the most fun (and competitive) that I've had in a long time; makes all of this sting a little less. We all brought our A game, and it was a good fight.
So the question remains: downstages - risk it all on what could be great, or risk something great in order to be safe. We'll see what happens.

May I recommend...
There's something very gratifying about upstaging people. Whether in a supporting role or in a band in a dreaded opening spot, it's artistic sadism at its best. It's only slightly less satisfying than arson. If you close your eyes and flick a lighter in front of your face before you go on, you won't be able to tell the difference.
